The CW has finally given in to the age of digital TV and announced that they’ve greenlit a pilot for a futuristic version of the Tom Swift series, which is set in a world in which people travel in time via a device called a “chip”. The pilot will be called “Tom Swift’s Time Traveler’s Club” and it will be about five high school students that are “chipped” in order to travel in time to solve mysteries when they are in the past, preventing terrible events from happening when they are in the future.
Tom Swift and his family will be returning to TV screens in a new series. Tom, Utah and Evvie will move to an old mining town and open Tom swift and his family hardware store. The store is not open yet and Tom and his family will be facing a lot of trouble and ghost and mystery.
Tom Swift has been cast in The CW’s Nancy Drew spinoff. This spin-off will be based on Tom Swift’s character from Nancy Drew’s second season, a black-gay millionaire. Nancy Drew is a supernatural drama mystery series set in America. It is based on a series of books about a seemingly insignificant individual. Noga Landau, Josh Schwartz, and Stephanie Savage adapted this series for The CW.
